The talents of Art Evolution artist Mike Bell have been recognised once again.
For the 5th year in a row Mike Bell has honoured by American Juried Art Salon (AJAS), having picked up an award in their 2009 Spring/Summer Show. AJAS is a high profile online art show, which attracts exhibitors and views from across the globe.
Mike comments ‘Being selected from hundreds of international entries for this prestigious show for the 5th year is extremely pleasing and to be chosen for one of the Awards by gives me great confidence.’
Mike continues ‘I am pleased to recommend the AJAS exhibitions to all artists interested in having their work judged & selected by an experienced jury of art educators and gallery owners. The self confidence gained in having a work selected cannot be understated. The publicity and positive criticism of the evaluations are extremely important to artistic growth.’
Mike works in mixed media including acrylic, oils, college and wood, producing original paintings and limited edition prints. All his paintings are inspired by the textures, rhythms, light and contrasts in manmade and natural forms on the wild Northumberland Coast where he lives and has had a studio for 25 years while teaching and lecturing. He lives near the Scottish border where the light and landscape are fascinating and inspirational, often called "The land of Far Horizons."
