In July has was voted for by the public as one of top 10 artists in show at Guests gallery and has had his work selected for the First Cork Street Gallery 2008 Charity Exhibition in Cork Street London, being short listed from over 450.

Mike works in mixed media including acrylic, oils, college and wood, producing origional paintings and limited edition prints.

“All my paintings are inspired by the textures, rhythms, light and contrasts in manmade and natural forms on the wild Northumberland Coast in the UK where I live and had a studio for 25 years while teaching and lecturing. I live near the Scottish border where the light and landscape are fascinating and inspirational, often called "The land of Far Horizons." Many different media are used in my work including paint, inks, tissues, sand, foils, and metallic spray paints.”
