Art dealers race ahead (January 2006)

The Art Evolution stand at the Living North Exhibition at Gosforth Race Course.

Living North Exhibition proves a success for online gallery Art Evolution.

The Essence of Christmas 2006 exhibition, hosted at Newcastle Race Course, was just the ticket for North East art gallery Art Evolution to showcase the work of its artist to people from across the region.

Artwork by painters such as Sally Thompson, Glynnis Carter, Paul Belcher, Pam Vardy and Eva Bauer, was exhibited along side glassware by Emma Picton, and photography by North talent such as Dan May, Steve Mayes, Wyn Barnes, Rod Corston and Adrian Lourie.

The three day event offer the online art retailers a great opportunity to meet new clients and show off the stunning artwork that they promote online.

Victoria Anderson, Managing Director of Art Evolution, said ‘The Essence of Christmas 2006 exhibition was a great event and we were really glad we were involved with the first event of it’s kind by Living North.

We had lots of fun meeting existing and new clients and shouting about the talented North East artists that we promote. People were extremely impressed with the quality of the artwork we sell and how affordable it is.

As a result of the exhibition we not only sold work but secured a number of artwork commissions, to be completed in 2006. It was a great end to another great year for Art Evolution. ‘
