Two great companies one fantastic show home - Art Evolution & Yuill Homes get creative (September 06)

Two North East companies have come together to create a fantastic new show home in County Durham. Art Evolution of Newcastle and Yuill Homes of Hartlepool has been working in partnership on the house builders latest show home at Whitworth Park, Spennymoor.

This latest development from the award-winning North East house builder, Yuill Homes is a fabulous collection of two, three and four bedroom homes is located in rural County Durham with open countryside on its doorstep. The development offers something for everyone, from the contemporary to the traditional. Added touches include faux balconies, elegant French doors, en suite bathrooms and built in robes, creating great homes that look good on the outside and feel good on the inside.

Yuill Homes worked with Art Evolution over the summer to create the unique look which has been achieved in the Buckleigh show home. Art Evolution artist, Emma Picton, was commissioned by the developers to create a number of bespoke pieces of glass artwork combining the greens, browns and golds of the then proposed show home with striking results. Yuill Homes met with the artist to discuss the concept for the show home and discuss designs for the commission with great success. In addition the North East house builder commissioned ten abstract paintings by Northumberland based artist Sally Thompson which are to be housed throughout what is a stunning show home. Artwork by three other regional artists, Hugh Harris, Wyn Barnes and Mark Taylor, was selected to add the final touches to the children’s bedrooms within the Buckleigh.
