Art Evolution and the Business of Art (May 2005)
The newest original art retailer in our round, Art Evolution - 'a new era in art retail' is a cyber art gallery that showcases the works of over 60 North East artists, including Frank Briffa and Iris Houghton. From painting to photography to sculpture to film, all of the art at Art Evolution is available for purchase or hire to businesses and individuals. Victoria Anderson and Craig Millar, who are behind the business, say their aim is to bring affordable, exciting, contemporary art produced by North East artists to the North East. "As work is becoming more accessible, more and more individuals and organisations are recognising the benefits of renting or buying work," says Victoria.
