Art Evolution artist Emma Picton was featured in June's issue of Art of England for her striking work in glass.
Emma Picton produces kiln formed platters, wall panels and sculptures, drawing her inspiration form the natural landscapes of the Northumberland coastline. The patterns and textures of the sea and the surrounding environment are a predominate feature in much of her work. Studies taken from the formations of rocky outcrops and cliffs, or the endless stretches of golden sands, pebbles and shells are used directly to create designs in Emma's glassware.
