The One North East 'Passionate about...' campaign promotes the charity work of Art Evolution.
Newcastle based Art Evolution and Bang & Olufsen have joined forces to raise money for The Children’s Society, a UK based charity working with over 50,000 children and teenagers every year in 90 towns and cities including Newcastle and the North East. The charity helps children at risk on the streets, in trouble with the law, young refugees and children with disabilities.
Art and technology unite in the exhibition entitled ‘Evolution’ in the stunning Bang & Olufsen’s Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Art Evolution and Bang & Olufsen are holding a private viewing at the store on the evening of Thursday 27th April 2006. The ticketed event will showcase artwork by Art Evolution artists Emma Picton, Frank Briffa, Iris Houghton and Steve Mayes.
There will be an opportunity to watch Bang & Olufsen’s ‘artist in residence’ Iris Houghton creating a new piece of work, view the latest technology in home automation systems, sip some wine and enjoy food created by Terry Laybourne.
The evening will culminate in a charity auction of Art Evolution’s stunning artwork, cutting edge technology donated by Bang & Olufsen and a studio session by award winning photographer David Lawson.
Tickets cost £10 per person, with all entrance fees being donated to The Children’s Society. As there is limited tickets available and demand will be high for this decadent occasion all tickets must be purchased in advance by emailing info@artevolution.co.uk or calling Bang and Olufsen on 0191 2305551.
For those who aren’t lucky enough to attend ‘Evolution’ Art Evolutions’ artwork will be in store from 21th April – 12th May 2006, and is viewable on the gallery www.artevolution.co.uk. If you would love to experience the quality of sound that Bang & Oulfsens’ systems offer other than on the 27th April please contact the store on 0191 2305551.
