The Sunderland Echo highlights the work Art Evolution have been doing with frank haslam milan via PORTfolio their monthly business magazine.
Portfolio Business of the Year frank haslam milan's latest innovation is hanging by a thread.
The Sunderland-based regeneration specialist has teamed up with on-line gallery Art Evolution to add a personal touch to its work with Sunderland Housing Group across the city.
First in line to receive an artistic makeover is fhm’s Castletown development, with the opening of a show bungalow, which features North East artist Sally Thompson’s work – supplied by Art Evolution.
Sally, who is known for producing abstract paintings in the form of colour studies of the constantly changing sky, sea and landscape worked with fhm’s brief to create four original paintings which compliment the style of the bungalow.
‘We were delighted when Frank Haslam Milan expressed an interest in using our artwork. Art Evolution supports over 90 North East based artists and it is great that an organisation that has such a strong presence in the North East is actively promoting the regions artistic talent.’ said managing director Victoria Anderson.
Knowing there is more to regeneration than bricks and mortar, fhm decided to create a show bungalow to give existing and new residents a feel of what the new properties are like.
Marketing manager with fhm Carla Fisher added: “We are pleased to have been able to put something back into the community of Castletown with the opening of the show bungalow. It is also rewarding to give a local artist the opportunity to demonstrate her work, talent and skill, which will hopefully lead to further work.”
