Trevor engages the visual language of oil on canvas as an emotional response to landscape. These powerful emotive images convey a sense of the sublime but with modern edge. The narrative created in his figurative work explores the energy of the human spirit.
After a 20-year career in graphic art, a conscious creative directional shift began. Attending a fine art postgraduate degree, Trevor’s tight illustration discipline has loosened towards a more intuitive, representative painterly abstraction style.
Giclee prints of the highest quality, very limited edition, typically 25 or 30 copies only of each image are now available of a few select paintings.
Fine art has also inspired Trevor's ceramic sculpture. His strong evocative forms often inspired by the elegance of dance and sensual body language. Sensitively fired using glazing appropriate to each piece. Ancient Japanese Raku, Smoke and crystalline techniques being among his personal favourites.
