Steve is a recent photography graduate from Cleveland College of Art and Design. His motivation stems back to 1998 when the IRA bombed the town of Omagh in Northern Ireland. 'The Omagh bombing was the biggest single terror attack in Northern Ireland and still is to this day. Reading about the aftermath of these events in the newspapers and studying imagery of the destruction caused by this terrorist group, influenced my concentration towards the power of the still photographic image. Since then I have become obsessed with the many wars, which are currently raging throughout the world. In addition to this I've become fixated with the problems regarding the divisions within the worlds social order. It is this increasing political awareness I have built up and surrounded by that is providing an ongoing inspiration for me to produce photographic work.
