Paul studied Photography and Display at Newcastle's Bath Lane College of Arts and Technology during the 70’s. He worked initially in textile design, before his passion for photography led into photographic retailing in trade suppliers and pro labs in the North East.
He worked as a site photographer for a local defence contractor, later designing and managing their international exhibitions programme that involved working in Brazil, Malaysia and South Africa.
Paul’s love of travel is expressed in his images, which are almost always taken overseas. His gentle and closely observed pictures celebrate the light, warmth, colour and curiosities that he observes in his European travels.
